Principal's Corner

Hello and welcome Church Street Family,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the proud new principal of Church Street Elementary School. My name is Dr. Frances R. Thomas, and I am honored to serve in such an esteemed capacity. I bring 27 years in education and the last 8 years as an Assistant Principal at both the elementary and middle school levels. I have served for the past 15 years in Clayton County Public Schools. As a leader, I bring a deep passion and commitment to helping every child THRIVE. 

I believe that school is not just a place for academic learning, but a space where students grow behaviorally and socially as well. As Principal of Church Street Elementary, my vision and goal is to equip our students, Pre-K-5, with the foundational knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to reach their full potential—in the classroom and beyond with the incredible team of teachers and staff here at “The Church.”

Student success is a shared effort. I strongly believe that when schools, families, and the community work together, there is no limit to what our children can achieve. I look forward to building strong partnerships, engaging in conversations, and moving with a spirit of collaboration with all stakeholders as we support our students together. I value the opportunities for your involvement and input to create a nurturing and engaging educational environment that meets the unique needs of all students.  Together we can, Build a Better Tomorrow, Today!
